Research Officer (Microbial Immunity Lab), A*STAR ID Labs Research Officer (Microbial Immunity Lab), A*STAR ID Labs Biological & Biomedical Sciences (Science & Technology) A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (A*STAR ID Labs) is seeking for a Research Officer to join us in our mission to be a leading centre of infectious diseases research. A*STAR ID Labs aims to develop a cohesive A*STAR response to drive and deliver translational infectious diseases research to better health and economic outcomes. Job Description: • To focus on bridging the knowledge gap of vector–pathogen-host interactions in mosquito-borne disease transmission. To understand the immune and pathogenic mechanisms during mosquito borne-virus infection to guide the development of targeted and effective control and treatment strategies • Conduct laboratory experiments in vaccine/drug testing and perform data analysis for industry/research collaboration projects • Work with patient cohorts and relevant models (both in vitro and in vivo) of infectious diseases • Perform meticulous recordkeeping and able to draft delivery report to industrial partners • Perform maintenance of inventory and procurement of laboratory consumables • Ensure safe technical practices and procedures Job Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Infectious Diseases, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry or related field 1 to 2 years of relevant experience, fresh graduates are welcome to apply Experience with cell culture models, mouse models, animal studies, cell biology, flow cytometry, serological and molecular techniques, handling with BSL-2 and BSL-3 pathogens will be an asset Experience with industry project management Strong background in Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics and Genomics Highly motivated and able to work independently Team player with good interpersonal skills Good spoken and written communication skills Registration No. T08GB0002C Report this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
