Oha Honey Limited Partnership is a 100% New Zealand owned company that specialises in the production of high-quality Manuka Honey. With over thirty thousand beehives placed in some of the most remote areas of New Zealand, we are dedicated to producing the best Manuka Honey, providing the best customer service and being the best place to work. We take great pride in gathering and sharing this unique taonga (treasure of our land) while we strive to live up to our guiding Ngai Tahu tribal values.
Oha is currently looking for a Relationship Manager who can set the foundation for growth while strengthening current partnerships. We are looking for the best person who understands rural customers business and can seamlessly tie our partner's strategy and values with our own to create mutually beneficial end results. An understanding of Manuka and beekeeping would be favourable as this intimate knowledge of land requirement for attaining best hives would enrich our current operations and yields. And finally, you need to be a team player who not only plays his or her role but is also willing to step in and assist our apiary and/or operations if required.

Our ideal Relationship Manager will:
Work closely with our National Apiary Manager and beekeeping teams to understand what placements are required and have the drive to get these placements in a competitive beekeeping industry,
Read manuka bloom, know what companion plants are and find the right place for our hives dependent on the need for the site,
Be experienced in beekeeping or have an understanding of beekeeping or a background in similar rural selling or agent role,
Use technology to read landmass and correctly gauge stocking rates,
Ability to not only develop new relationships but also strengthen existing relationships with landowners to improve honey quality,
Be a negotiator who can easily work with local iwi, landowners, government departments, and competitors to ensure the best results for all parties ensuring our values lead all negotiations and trusting relationships endure,
Have an understanding of and affinity for tikanga Maori and Ngai Tahu values, or a willingness to develop your knowledge in this area
Be health and Safety conscious ensuring all tracks and sites are accessible to beekeeping teams and vehicles and risk matrix completed before, during and after season,
