Regional Relationships ? are key connectors and relationship managers for the Ministry in the regions in our day-to-day work with iwi, hap? and M?ori, local government, and other regional partners. We prioritise developing strong partnerships and fostering relationships and opportunities through collaboration to ensure we are connected to regional partners in bringing about a sustainable environment for our children, their children and their mokopuna.

We are looking for an outstanding candidate with expertise in the below areas:

A thorough understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, the Treaty principles, Treaty settlements, Te Ao M?ori and engaging with iwi, hap? and M?ori.
Experience working within or alongside local government organisations, and an understanding of the operating environment of local government organisations.
Ability to work within a dynamic environment, and bring our regional partners along with the Ministry in all of our work.
Relationship management experience and the ability to create lasting relationships.

To be successful in the role of Relationship Manager you will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and experience including the ability to inspire, influence and build the capability of others.

The Relationship Manager Position Description is attached for your information (on the MfE Careers site). Salary range - $105,679 to $132,852 pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
