Expand your nursing skills and experience supporting a person with high complex needs in this client's home
Full-time positions available - Rostered shifts AM, PM, Nights
If you are a registered nurse with over one year's post graduate experience who would enjoy the opportunity to work with a small skilled team to provide an exceptional level of support to a client who has some complex needs and is supported in a home environment, then this may be the role for you.
This role requires someone who may prefer the slower paced and extremely valued role of working in a client's home and is interested in the dynamic of using nursing, good communication and support worker training skills while working in partnership with a client, their family and whanau. This client has rehabilitation goals and is funded by ACC.
This is a full-time role working rostered shifts: 7am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm, 11pm - 7am
Typical responsibilities include the following:
Support to manage this client compromised respiratory status
Regular assessments of at-risk areas and client vulnerabilities
Early intervention should the client's health status changes
Some direct personal support including manual handling, showering, dressing, grooming
Promotion and support with the team to enable and encourage community participation and the means to enjoy life as he desires
Regular liaison with members of the support and nursing team
You will need the following:
Current NZ Registered Nurse practicing certificate
Good communication skills and fluency in English
Be able to work independently
Be eligible to work in New Zealand
Have a current full driver's licence and own transport is essential
