The team in Ward 17 at Christchurch Hospital enjoys working in a busy general surgical unit with a focus on colorectal surgery. No two days are the same in this fast paced team that focus on peri-operative care and recovery.
The Role: Where you fit in
We’re looking for a Registered Nurse who is passionate about surgery and is keen to move their career forward. Working in our large multidisciplinary team you can expect to work closely with and learn from our Surgeons, our Nurse Educator and Clinical Nurse Specialist, who are all experts in their specialties and who are focused on advances in surgical care that improve clinical outcomes. In turn you will bring your exceptional interpersonal skills and organizational skills and will be a real team player. Ward 17 is also a Dedicated Education Unit where you’ll enjoy being involved in the development of student nurses. You will have effective problem solving and decision-making skills and a commitment to providing and maintaining high standards of nursing practice within our service.
