Registered Nurses - Operating Theatre, Burwood Hospital Fixed-term parental leave position with the Operating Theatre team at Burwood until May 2025 Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand witha current APC; Recent surgical experience would be an advantage. Mo te tunga | About the role We have a current vacancy within our Operating Theatre Suite which offers you a varied role that it coversan elective service for adult orthopaedics, plastic surgery, urology, handsurgery patients and spinal surgery.
Ideallyyou will be an experienced Registered Nurse with the ability to be solutionfocused and work well under pressure within a multidisciplinary team (MDT). Efficientand smooth-running operating sessions require the MDT to work collaborativelytherefore, excellent interpersonal skills, team work and sound communicationare imperative to this role. Flexibility to work rotating rostered shiftsalongside sound clinical knowledge and enthusiasm to take on the challenge ofworking in a variety of clinical specialties is paramount to your success inthis position. 
Professionaldevelopment is supported and you will have opportunities to attend training.
Working:
Monday to FridayRostered shifts to suit service requirements1x 0.6FTE fixed term until 23rd May 2025You will be a confident practitioner with exceptionalpatient assessment skills Sound clinical skills and knowledge, confidence andability to work effectively with a wide range of people are imperative tothis role.Enthusiastic, motivated, with excellent interpersonalskills and the ability to engage a wide variety of people, is paramount inthis role.Ko wai koe | About You Organised, with great attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute positively to the team are key attributes to your success in this role. 
Recent operating theatre experience would be preferred, however we'll ensure you're given a comprehensive orientation package and ongoing opportunities to continue your own professional development.
