Registered Nurses - Older Persons Health Service | Burwood Permanent full time andpart-time positions available in ward DG and D1, along with fixed-term maternity leave cover Must have a current APC Based at BurwoodHospital Mo te tunga | About the role Weare looking for Registered Nurses to join our team in the Older Persons HealthService at Burwood Hospital. This service specialises in those patients withgeneral medical and surgical conditions requiring further rehabilitation postevent. Your ability to work well under pressure within a multidisciplinary teamalongside your excellent communication skills and flexibility to work rotating,rostered shifts is imperative to your success in these roles.
Ward DG isan inpatient rehabilitation ward for older people with a particular focus onstroke rehabilitation.
Ward D1 is a 24 bed unit under the Older Persons Health umbrella, specialising in those patients with orthopaedic injury or post orthopaedic surgery.

Skills& Experience: You will be anexperienced Registered Nurse with a current NZ practicing certificateYou will be a confidentpractitioner with exceptional patient assessment skillsEnthusiastic,motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage awide variety of people, is paramount in this roleYour strong patientadvocacy alongside clear communication style and the aspiration tocontribute to the health care of the elderly will see you succeed in thisroleYou will exhibitcompassion, good communication and organisational skills as well as soundassessment skillsThese roles require astrong inter-disciplinary focus with a passion for rehabilitation.BurwoodHospital is a close-knit, friendly facility that forms part of Te Whatu Ora –Waitaha [Canterbury] situated near Burwood Forest on the outskirts ofChristchurch Central. Along with 11 inpatient wards, we also have a busyOutpatient Department: 4 theatres with an Admitting Unit and PACU. Our SpinalUnit is one of two located in New Zealand and between the two busy unitsdeliver a National Service.
