Registered Nurse VaccinatorFull-time (1.0 FTE), permanent positionEnhanced School Based Health Services Programme – Child, Youth and Women’s HealthThe ADHB Enhanced School Based Health Service (ESBHS) is seeking applications from experienced registered nurses, with authorised vaccinator certification, who have a passion for youth health and health equity.
This role will work alongside school nurses to deliver a high quality, effective and safe immunisation service, to adolescents enrolled in the Enhanced School Based Health Services schools. You will be youth-friendly, innovative and independent, and engage with a range of stakeholders such as School Based Health Service nurses, General Practitioners, school management, Primary Health Organisations and the National Immunisation Register (NIR) team, to provide best practice clinical services across the Programme.At a minimum you must be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current Practising Certificate, and Authorised Vaccinator certification. You must be a highly skilled communicator, exemplify lifelong learning and have strong youth health nursing skills - particularly in the context of school based health care nursing.In addition to this you would need to have a Post-graduate Diploma in Youth Health Nursing and/or be on a post-graduate pathway. It is a given that you be an excellent role model for youth health nursing and have an approachable and can-do manner.In return we are offering you the opportunity to use your experience and enthusiasm for youth health to influence best care for everyone in our district.
