Northland District Health Board advocates for affirmative action and actively seeks Maori into our workforce to reflect the community we serve.
Applications are invited from registered nurses for permanent positions on the surgical wards.
The Surgical Service includes two general surgical wards with Ward 4 having a long stay focus and Ward 3 a short stay focus. This is a challenging, busy environment for nurses wishing to care for acute high dependency patients in conjunction with an interdisciplinary team.
Nursing staff are supported by an Associate Clinical Nurse Manager and ward based educators.
Previous surgical nursing is desirable but not essential. Full orientation and support will be provided for the successful applicant.
