We're looking for flexible, dynamic and motivated Registered Nurse to join our surgical nursing team to work in either our Neuroscience, Orthopaedics & Urology or General Surgery, Vascular, ENT and Ophthalmology Ward, based in Wellington Regional Hospital.
As the successful candidate you will demonstrate core competencies in nursing, and be keen to develop new skills and knowledge within a variety of surgical specialties. You'll have a passion for surgical nursing, the ability to function efficiently in a large team and a desire to provide evidence-base quality nursing care.

These are rostered and rotating positions, you will be expected to work all shifts.
Ward 7 North at Wellington Regional Hospital is a 42 bed General Surgery, Vascular, ENT and Ophthalmology ward, providing a secondary level service for acute and elective General and Vascular patients in Wellington and Kapiti Coast.
Ward 7 South provide a regional and tertiary acute specialist neurosurgical and neurology services for people with trauma and other conditions affecting their neurological functioning. We treat conditions which may require surgery including tumours, cerebral-vascular and spinal conditions, and disorders requiring assessment and treatment. With the expansion of 6 high dependence beds within the unit, we are looking for experienced registered nurse with a keen interest in acute stroke and neurosurgery.
Ward 6 North is a 36 bed, inpatient ward that provides secondary and tertiary level preoperative care for acute/ trauma cases and postoperative care for both elective and acute patients. The addition of Urology patients to the patient mix is new to most of the staff, we'll support and help you to adapt to the changing environment whilst maintaining your high nursing standards.

We are looking for Registered Nurses with:
Minimum 12 months Surgical experience
A current Annual Practising Certificate
Ability to work in a fast paced environment that values teamwork and dynamism
Completed CAP/NETP Programme

You will need to have the legal right to work in New Zealand, and hold a current work visa.
