The details:Fixed term until September 2023 - 32 hours per fortnight
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our rheumatology service and we are seeking an experienced nurse to support our infusion programme within the department. This programme has a strong focus on patient education, community support and delivery of infusions. This service is currently held in a shared location with the oncology chemotherapy day stay unit. This is a fixed term position due to research funding.
This role will require the nurse to work closely with the consultants, and senior nursing staff within the rheumatology department as well as the Oncology Outpatient nursing team. Part of this role will be to identify and improve nursing processes in the delivery of rheumatology services to our patients.
The successful candidate will be required to:
be a New Zealand registered nurse with a current practice certificate have worked in a New Zealand hospital environment for at least 4 years
must have rheumatology nursing experience
willingness to accept and develop an extended role within the job
have the ability to work autonomously in a demanding environment
have flexibility and a positive attitude
