About the Service:
The Meade Clinical Centre (MCC) is comprised of a diverse range of specialty outpatient clinics, and services up to 800 patients per day. There is potential for flexibility across different clinics, and opportunities to build experience in a number of areas - whether it be working with senior nurses, in autonomous roles like nurse led clinics, supporting minor procedures, working with advanced technology and undertaking expanded scopes of practice. Our busy multi-specialty outpatient department offers attractive hours of work, a supportive environment and diverse development opportunities.
About the Role:
Waikato Hospital's MCC has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated registered nurse with a positive attitude, who is committed to quality and patient focused care. The position is for our neurology clinic and works within the medical cluster of clinics. You will be part of a large, supportive team working in a world class primary healthcare facility, where teamwork, innovation, and creativity is valued, and our role in healthcare and the people we provide care to are our top priority.
Requirements:
This role would suit a registered nurse who:
places "People at Heart"
demonstrates sound nursing knowledge & experience in surgical and medical nursing specialties (an interest in neurology would be advantageous)
has a minimum of 5 year's post registration experience within a New Zealand hospital/acute care setting
has an interest in seeking professional development opportunities
excellent time management and communication skills
has a progressive, flexible attitude to work across a variety of clinics
demonstrates commitment to a patient and whanau-focused service delivery
