The District Nursing Service at Palmerston North Hospital is looking for registered nurses to join their team work. Various hours of work are available working rostered shifts.
The service provides a wide range of specialised nursing care in the community care 24 hours a day seven days a week, from six sites across MidCentral Health region. We are an enthusiastic team with a keen focus on the delivery of quality specialised nursing care in the community setting and are committed to quality and service improvement processes which are well established.
We require a person who is a team player, able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills and who is committed to the provision of quality nursing care in the community.
Applicants will need to have advanced skills and current knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Wound care, Palliative care, or Intravenous therapy. A current practising certificate and current driver's licence are also essential.

General Information
MidCentral District Health Board employs more than 2500 staff at Manawatu, Palmerston North, Tararua and Horowhenua and Otaki districts.
Palmerston North Hospital is a 350 bed secondary hospital, which services an urban population of 80,000 and a total population catchment of 168,000. In addition, the hospital is a teaching hospital, and is associated with both Auckland and Otago medical schools.
Palmerston North is a major university city and is at the hub of key routes to the central North Island ski fields, and river adventures. Wellington the capital city, is only a two hour journey by road, as are the wine growing regions of Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa.
