Whanganui District Health Board Two positions available Permanent, part time (32 hours p/w)
We are looking for registered nurses to complement our team to support service users/tangata whaiora to optimise their health and wellbeing through a range of therapeutic interventions.
Our team of Registered nurses work with service users/tangata whaiora and their families/whanau as partners who are actively involved in decisions about their care. You will need to be able to maintain flexibility, adaptability, responsiveness, and sensitivity with practice in response to the changing needs of the service user/tangata whaiora, family/whanau and the community.
This position requires you to have a number of essential skills and knowledge requirements including holding a NZ registration with a professional body and current Annual Practicing Certificate. To be considered you will need:
a minimum three years postgraduate experience in an acute adult general mental health inpatient setting
sound knowledge skills and experience to work with acutely unwell adults within the acute setting
to have proven communication and interpersonal skills
to be able to demonstrate cultural safety in the practice setting
to have a commitment to application of evidence based practice
to have a commitment to ongoing professional development
to be able to provide a police check clearance
to have a full drivers licence.
