We currently have opportunities for registered nurses to join our acute care mental health inpatient unit.
We have permanent (various FTE) and casual positions available - please indicate your preferred hours in your covering letter. We are looking for applications from registered nurses who:Are enthusiastic and motivated
Demonstrate excellent communication skills
Work well in a multidisciplinary team setting
Are consumer and recovery focused
Are strong team players

Effectively delegate to and supervise health care assistants and student nurses

General Information
MidCentral District Health Board employs more than 2500 staff at Manawatu, Palmerston North, Tararua and Horowhenua and Otaki districts.
Palmerston North Hospital is a 350 bed secondary hospital, which services an urban population of 80,000 and a total population catchment of 168,000. In addition, the hospital is a teaching hospital, and is associated with both Auckland and Otago medical schools.

Palmerston North is a major university city and is at the hub of key routes to the central North Island ski fields, and river adventures. Wellington the capital city, is only a two hour journey by road, as are the wine growing regions of Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa.
