There is a lot more to being a nurse at NZBS than just taking blood. Dealing with primarily well people gives a different perspective to a working day. The variety that comes with the various types of collection activity and locations that we work in as well as the therapeutic services that we provide to patients, means that no two days are the same at NZBS.Whether you are interested in developing your clinical skills and experience in therapeutic procedures such as collection of stem cells and plasma exchange procedures; your leadership skills coordinating our collects; or your coaching and training and development skills, inspiring our staff to be the best they can be, NZBS has fantastic opportunities for everyone.About youAs our donors regularly go out of their way to give up their time to donate blood, great customer service is key to ensuring they have an amazing donation experience that encourages their continued support. So to be successful in this role you'll be a great communicator with good written and verbal skills, vital for reassuring the donor every step of the way.We welcome enquiries from experienced Registered Nurses who will utilise their well-developed health assessment, critical thinking and reflective practice skills to contribute to all aspects of the collection of blood products and donor health education at our mobile and donor room collects.A comprehensive induction programme, training and PDRP available.
