The position is responsible for supporting the maternity clinical quality and safety programme and providing focus for quality improvements in maternity services.The person in this role is responsible for utilising contemporary quality and risk management knowledge and practices to ensure that managers and staff have access to quality and risk management tools and techniques to assist them in decision making and the integration of quality improvement and risk management into service delivery.About youThe successful candidate will be:NZ Fully Qualified Registered Midwife with a current APC and extensive clinical experience.Excellent data analysis and report writing skills, with strong Microsoft skills and advanced Excel proficiency.Desirable to be working towards a post-graduate qualification such as quality or risk management.Have a working knowledge of Nga Paerewa Health and Disability Sector Standards.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori, or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives that give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
