Summary
We're looking for a Registered Health Professional to join our Rotorua Real service. If you are passionate about supporting young people to build confidence, resilience and wellbeing and would like to work with a great team, we want to hear from you.
We are looking for a Registered Health Professional with a current registration. (psychologists, social workers, nurses, or occupational therapists)
You will be working 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 8.30am- 5.00pm
This role will involve supporting young people with primary mental health issues and complex social needs and supporting them to re-connect with community services and take control of their own lives. You will take a leading role in implementing the Real wellbeing strategy to improve the health of young people with mental health issues. In this role you will also be working in close collaboration with the Lakes DHB.
Real
Real Rotorua provide health and wellbeing services in the community to people aged between 12 and 20 who are experiencing issues related to their mental wellbeing. We believe in the importance of community, connection and relationships - and in the ability of young people to shape their own futures.
The Team
You'll be working alongside a Team Coach, a team of 3 Youth Workers and 3 other Clinicians, delivering support to young people in school and community settings.
You
We would expect the successful applicant to have significant knowledge of and relationships with local NGO and Iwi providers and advanced skills in working collaboratively with other providers to address complex needs. We need someone who has the ability to support and inspire a team- someone who can work alongside and provide mentoring and information to Youth Workers.
You'll be known for your caring, friendly and approachable manner and be passionate about your professional role and identity. You'll have a non-judgmental approach to working within a diverse population. A real team player, you'll be an excellent communicator and the sort of person who brings fun and laughter to your work environment.
