It is an exciting time to join Epworth Freemasons, having only recently been upgraded, Epworth have commenced a major redevelopment that will represent a generational change for our Clarendon Street hospital with construction underway to provide more consulting suites, operating theatres and improvements to patient amenity.
Epworth are constructing a 12-level tower and buildings that will link to create significant onsite consulting opportunities for specialists, additional state-of-the-art theatres, expanded oncology services and extensive underground on-site car parking. Epworth are also upgrading our maternity service facilities at our Victoria Parade campus in 2018.
The Role
We are seeking Registered or Enrolled (Endorsed) Nurses who have recent experience in the Peri Operative environment as Scrub/Scout, or/and Anaesthetic/PACU Nurse.
Availability to participate in after hours on-call obstetric roster is essential.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in the role you will:
Possess current nursing registration with AHPRA
Have a contemporary knowledge of best practice in peri-operative scrub/scout/anaesthetic/PACU nursing
Have experience in a variety of surgical specialities, including general surgery, obstetrics, gynaecology, urology, ophthalmology, oral/maxillofacial, plastic, and endoscopy
Be highly accountable and demonstrate a strong, supportive and engaging style
Be passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes
Participate in a rotating roster, Monday to Friday.
Commit to working minimum of x1 PM shift per week for a (full timer) and x1 pm shift per fortnight for (part timer) (S/S/Anaesthetic staff).
Be available for shifts 0700-1730, 0730-1800, 0730-1330, 1200-2030 (shift length 6, 8 and 10 hrs shifts) (Anaesthetic staff)
Available shifts 0730 to 2200, (shift length 9.5hrs each) (PACU staff)
Annual base salary range for full time (38 hours a week), prorata for part time: Registered Nurse (depending on year level) - AUD$60,279 to AUD$77,459 / Enrolled Nurse (depending on year level) - AUD$57,250 - AUD$60,741.
