Westpac is looking for a talented individual to take up a key leadership role in our successful Southland Consumer Management team. A highly visible role, the position of Regional Manager will give you the opportunity to cement your reputation as a high performing people leader in this rapid change driven financial environment.
Purpose & ScopeReporting to the Head of Consumer Banking Southern Region and based in Southland, the key objective of this role is to focus on elevating the Westpac brand and to drive performance through strong leadership of Bank Managers and their dynamic teams across the region of Southland. Your proven leadership capabilities will be visible when driving to achieve outstanding growth by committing to the development of staff capabilities.
Strategy:Contribute to the overall success of the regional and national financial plan through robust business planning and strategy development
Driving service growth and operational excellence form the core requirements of this position

Experience/Skills:Banking and financial services experience is required for this role
Proven ability in managing a large team and people leaders
Experience in a large customer service role operating within a highly competitive market
An in-depth local knowledge of your region will be fundamental to Southland achieving a high calibre workforce who exceed customer and growth expectations
Driven by innovation and continuous improvement
The scope, responsibility and prospect for real career advancement as the Regional Manager

Travel is required
