The Southern South Island is the Department's largest region. The operational area includes three National Parks, four Great Walks and our largest number of commercial and community partnerships.
As part of an internal regional boundary realignment, the Department's Southern South Island region has grown, further increasing the complexity of challenges we face across the area. In order to ensure the region continues to thrive, this position has been created to support the Operations Director and Regional Leadership Team with particularly complex and large-scale strategic issues.
If you are someone who is motivated by the prospect of tackling unique and unexpected challenges this may be the opportunity for you.
This role will be based in either Dunedin, Queenstown or Invercargill depending on the preference of the successful applicant.
