Regional Housing Advisor – Southern Region Permanent, Full Time Based in Southern Regional Office, Dunedin.

We're working towards this through providing public housing assistance and reducing the number of people in insecure housing.
About the role
This key role is an exciting blend of advisory, analysis, relationship and project management, where you will be contributing to our housing planning and solutions across our Southern region. The Regional Housing Advisor reports to our Southern Regional Commissioner and is responsible for supporting national housing strategies at a local level and responding to the region's housing demands. The role will forge and manage relationships with Government Agency Housing providers, Housing and Urban providers, and Community Housing providers within the Region to achieve key goals and accountabilities for the business group. You will keep across developing activities, plus work on tracking and monitoring the Housing work programme. The role includes providing feedback and reporting to support the work programme and contributing to the implementation of policies and programmes. This role will have strong links with our Southern Regional Housing team and the Service Delivery Housing Services team regarding housing activities, national housing initiatives, housing reporting and development of national strategies. You will be providing professional advice and analysis whilst developing effective relationships with colleagues and staff throughout the Ministry.

outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to exercise sound judgement and political sensitivity
