Regional Business Manager - Livestock (Sheep, Beef and Deer) - Southland Based
If you have in-depth experience in livestock farming and would like to bring your expertise to a large-scale operation in Southland, predominately the Te Anau basin, this could be the role for you.
Our Business Managers develop livestock strategies, advise on farm systems optimisation, financial and business planning, and provide people leadership support to our Farm Managers. As a Regional Business Manager, you will be expected to stay involved in day-to-day operations as you provide overarching business management support to 6 farms and report through to your Senior Business Manager.
This is a sheep, beef and deer portfolio in our Livestock Group, with farms located in the Southland, 4 of which will be in the Te Anau Basin. You will be based down in Southland, preferably Te Anau, and will be expected to travel periodically to head office in Wellington to remain connected with the wider Farm Performance Group. This is a critical leadership role and we'll be looking to you to engage your team and build a positive culture of high performance.
You will have an appetite for innovation and will look for opportunities to harness innovative strategies and systems for environmental and performance gains. You'll use every bit of your understanding about product quality, animal welfare, business planning and environmental management in this role.
