Refinery Electrician

Sugar Australia has an exciting opportunity for a qualified electrician with experience in a manufacturing environment. As the Refinery Electrician, you are responsible for the reliability and availability of plant and equipment at Racecourse Refinery in the role of the primary electrical tradesperson for the site.
This role is a permanent full time opportunity to work at our Sugar Refinery located in Mackay, Northern Queensland.
Job Description
Key responsibilities of this position include but is not limited to:
Carry out scheduled maintenance as per equipment strategies.
Maintain production output by carrying out reactive and corrective maintenance as required.
Provide out of hours break-down cover as required by Roster.
Assist with the execution of new installations and subsequent commissioning.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will bring:
Trade qualified Electrical fitter / mechanic
Experience in a manufacturing environment with Process Control and/or Systems experience, preferably within a Food or FMCG industry environment.
Experience in plant operation, fault finding and plant commissioning.
Queensland Electrical License holder. ( Low voltage )
Instrument qualifications / experience desirable.
The ideal candidate will have technical experience as well as excellent interpersonal, planning and organisational skills. They will be a self-starter and an agile individual who is passionate about best practice and working as part of a team.
