As a Recovery Coordinator, the role is very much about working with our clients and being responsible to ensuring our clients have a planned road to recovery. This is about having meaningful conversations with clients to discuss and understand their injury, and the impact it has on their daily life. Working together, and ensuring all the right information is available, you will tailor a rehabilitation program to suit their needs.

ACC has been improving the lives of New Zealanders since 1974. With ACC, you'll be supporting people in Aotearoa to stay safe by minimising the incidence and impact of injury, as well as helping them recover from injury if an accident does happen. You will support clients by understanding their injury and coming up with solutions to a positive return to work/life. Working closely with medical practitioners, client employers and suppliers you could engage via phone, email or in person. Your health knowledge - technical, terminology and solutions - across clinical and recovery practices will support the provision of our client's recovery. You will assess client needs and continue to provide support and guide their recovery for as long as the client needs.

What we are looking for from you to be successful in this role:
Strong communication skills are important - written and oral, in an engaging and supportive style
Ability to interpret, apply and explain complex legislation
Great time management skills and ability to organise your day well
Empathy - some client situations are complex so demonstrating strong emotional intelligence
Personal resilience - as you will be working with people experiencing challenging circumstances
Previous experience working in a social services, disability or health environment is advantageous

We offer an indicative salary of $57,938 plus ACC's 9% superannuation contribution. Ongoing learning and development will be provided so this provides an excellent opportunity to grow and develop your career at ACC. Hours of work at 40 hours, Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm.
