We are seeking the ultimate Brand Ambassador to join our passionate team.Base Backpackers are leaders in the budget accommodation sector, with busy bars, backpackers and a travel desk onsite located in the heart of Rotorua. Base Backpackers hire travellers who have a real passion for New Zealand and tourism. The ideal candidates will have a good level and appreciation for customer service, travel and most importantly a positive attitude and loads of energy. The successful candidate will ensure completion of daily tasks including customer service, ensuring security of guests and staff, reconciling banking and cash handling,In the event of an emergency following the emergency management procedure.Computer literacy is a must.You must be able to troubleshoot any issues that arise, be hard working, have a responsible and enthusiastic nature!You must have excellent face to face customer and crew communication,proven experience in sales, have a thirst for new challenges and a thirst for learning.You must be passionate about meeting and mingling with travellers! You must be a self starter and able to challenge the status quo and show our guests why we are number 1 for hostels in Australasia!Full induction and ongoing training will be provided, with career progression and development being part of the role. You must be able to work night shifts, weekends and public holidays.Minimum commitment 6 months. The successful candidate must have a valid NZ work visa or residency.
