We are looking for three enthusiastic Rangers to join our Recreation/Historic Team in the Fiordland National Park over the 2019/2020 summer season.

Te Anau is situated in Southland and borders the Fiordland National Park. It has several front-country day visitor sites and amenities, campsites, carparks and viewpoints, as well as three iconic Great Walks, short walks and access to multi-day walks.
You will be maintaining walking tracks in Fiordland National Park, ensuring that they are kept to a high standard and in accordance with Department standards. At times you may be involved in other duties relating to the wider recreation/historic team.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
An understanding and appreciation of conservation values in New Zealand and an ability to communicate these to a wide range of people
That `willing to go the extra mile', `can do' attitude
The practical know-how to make something out of nothing
A team player attitude who works well under pressure
A current First Aid certificate and valid Driver's License.
Backcountry field experience and a high level of physical fitness
Experience with tractors, diggers and other machinery would be an advantage
This position will work on a roster system and applicants must be available to complete the full period of employment 14 October 2019 to 6 May 2020.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory, including a valid work visa covering the whole period of employment if applying internationally.
