Sitting within the wider Platforms business unit, The RAN DevOps Principal Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation and 24x7 operation of the RAN Platforms domain. Acting in a senior capacity, the RAN DevOps Principal Engineer provides leadership as an active part of the DevOps function to deliver significant improvements in Network capability and performance, constantly striving for continuous improvement in customer experience.
What Will I be Doing?
Design
o Deliver accurate, cost effective designs aligned to architectural, design and operational requirements, considering all E2E impacts.
o Own capacity and lifecycle management for relevant platforms.
o Development of domain roadmaps, networks plans and capital budgets.
Implementation
o On time and budget delivery and implementation, ensuring network integrity is maintained.
o Implementation of Network change as per agreed processes.
o Ensure all changes have passed the full set of acceptance tests and quality standards before life implementation.
Operate
o Ensure incident resolution is achieved within operational SLA targets.
o Develop and implement processes, procedures and automation to improve delivery and operational performance.
What Will I Bring?
o Demonstrable experience across the following RAN domains: RAN Hardware and Software, 2G/3G/4G/5G, RAN Controllers, RAN OSS.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of building relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
o Ability to provide a lead role in a high performing team, making decisions under pressure and acting as a coach and mentor to Platform engineers.
o A strategic mindset with a passion for solving problems and creating innovative solutions.
o Experience in driving transformational change, championing knowledge sharing and leading Agile practices.
