Currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor the successful candidate will be a key member of the Nelson pre-construction team and manage the tendering process from receipt of enquiry, bid preparation and post tender negotiations. You will also provide support to the Pre-Construction Manager in leading the estimating team.
The Role
Identify cost risks and opportunities with various tender submissions
Production of estimates, bill of quantities, procurement orders and scheduling
Post-tender negotiations
Contract administration and negotiation
Closely monitor cashflow projections against budget and move proactivley
Liaise with clients and design team during the negotiation pre-construction phase
Negotiate procurement to the best advantage of the division
Comply with Health and Safety systems
Create, maintain and enhance relationships with clients, sub-contractors, suppliers, team members
Must Haves
A minimum of 3 years' experience industry experience, ideally in the commercial space
Standard knowledge of Commercial building, including new build
Strong communication skills
Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
Eye for detail and excellent communication skills both written and oral
Strong relationship skills who has a positive outlook
