They have built a great reputation for delivering quality work and pride themselves on setting high standards for quality workmanship and excellence in customer service. Projects range from residential refurbishments to commercial and rural buildings such as schools, cool stores, and packhouses.About the roleReporting to the company Director, you will be responsible for the excellence in the execution of the Quantity Surveying services. The primary objective of the Quantity Surveyor is to provide outstanding service to clients while ensuring the successful development and management of project life cycle costs and optimising project budgets.Day to day responsibilitiesProposal preparation, job delivery, work planning, and financial management tasksTechnical leadership in the areas of cost planning, procurement, and post contractDemonstrate initiative and provide practical advice to identify solutions to job-specific challengesWork closely with company Director, Senior QS, and Project ManagersBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholdersAbout YouWe are looking for either a strong, confident Intermediate level QS or early Senior level QS for this position, who are looking for new opportunities in the Bay of Plenty. To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience, and attributes:Minimum 7 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a proven track record of delivering cost benefitsBachelor's degree or relevant qualificationNZ industry experiencePrevious experience on commercial construction projectsStrong relationship-building skills and ability to work closely with key stakeholdersHighly motivated with the ability to work autonomously but values being part of a teamStrong commitment to quality and attention to detailAbility to work under pressure and maintain a clear and calm mindset when assessing requirements and prioritiesAbility to optimise all aspects of project life cycle costs and value managementStrong written and verbal communication skillsGood computer literacyYou will also need:to be a NZ Citizen, resident, or already hold the appropriate Visa to work in NZto have a full clean NZ Drivers licenceIf you are an experienced QS looking for your next move, then don't delay - please call us today!
