Quality Control Laboratory Assistant

THE OPPORTUNITY
MSD Animal Health in Upper Hutt has an opportunity for a Quality Control (QC) Laboratory Assistant to join the QC team on a Part time basis. This position will see you work as part of a small team to prepare media and solutions, including ordering of reagents, following company procedures. You will clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and glassware, operate autoclaves and a dishwasher and be responsible for ensuring all relevant documentation is completed and that corporate and regulatory standards are met. This role supports a number of stakeholders.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful as a QC Laboratory Assistant you will:
Have the ability to work in a physically demanding role
Have excellent attention to detail
demonstrate the ability to work in a methodical manner
Have intermediate computer literacy across the Microsoft suite
Demonstrate good communication skills
In addition:
a scientific background with previous laboratory experience is advantageous
knowledge and or / experience working to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is also a benefit
