Purchasing Officer

Service :Procurement, Supply Chain & Health Technology Management Position :Purchasing Officer (Permanent) – 40 hours per week Salary :Band 3 – PSA •Turning requisitions for operational and capital spending into purchase orders •Follow up with suppliers regarding timely delivery of purchase orders (ETAs and back-orders) •Investigate pricing issues for invoices place on hold •Liaise with end-users regarding issues relating to their requisitions The position is part of a team of 19 purchasing officers in the central region lead by the Central Area Purchasing Manager. The team looks after Bay of Plenty, Lakes, Tairawhiti, Whanganui, Midcentral, Hawkes Bay, Capital and Coast, Hutt and Wairarapa District Health boards. We are looking for a person who has worked in customer services or similar roles before and has experience in working with computer systems and is able to create simple spreadsheets.
