Purchasing Manager

We are looking for a highly organised person with great purchasing experience as you will play a pivotal role in co-ordinating and managing the end to end supply chain for materials to finished goods, demand planning and purchasing functions for this long standing Manufacturing company.

The main responsibilities include:
Take control of the Planning and Purchasing functions for raw materials and packaging
Planning of Shipments
Forming strong relationships with Suppliers and negotiating the best and most efficient resources
Timely generation of MRP to ensure supplier purchase orders are placed within agreed lead times
Actively source the best price and product for the production process
About you:
Excellent organisation and time management skills
3-5 years Purchasing Food, Household products or Pharmaceuticals in a manufacturing environment
Supervisory experience preferable but not essential
Computer literate with a intermediate knowledge of Excel
Continuously seeks to improve systems and procedures with a focus on GMP standards
