To work with school aged children, young people, and their families who have health concerns in the school and community setting. Advocacy for children, young people and their families is a key aspect of the PHN role, as is identification and referral of care and protection concerns. Public Health Nurses work within the education sector and with other health and social services to support children and young people. They provide health information and referral to other professionals and services.
