The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for the provision of specialist psychology services for Tangata Whai Ora accessing the inpatient mental health and addiction service at Taranaki Base Hospital. Providing tailored clinical services within the context of the multidisciplinary team is a core activity of the role but the Clinical Psychologist will also work closely with staff providing leadership, teaching, training and supervision as appropriate. You will have the opportunity to: · Support Taranaki Tangata Whai Ora and Wh a nau experiencing complex mental health and addiction needs to achieve mental wellbeing through accessible, equitable and high-quality services · Help shape a new early intervention service initiative · Work within a teaching hospital that is big enough to offer specialisation, training, and professional development opportunities, but small enough for you to make a noticeable difference in the area where you work · Join a welcoming and unified group of psychologists who work in a range of specialties and interdisciplinary teams and meet regularly together to discuss professional issues · Registration with the NZ Psychologists Board in the Clinical Scope of practice · Skill and experience in working in mental health services (at least 2 years) · Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and knowledge of working with M a ori models of practice Do you share in our vision, our values and will ensure our patients feel supported and cared for throughout their journey with us?
