You will work alongside operations and maintenance teams, providing engineering leadership from concept to commissioning.
This is a hands-on and strategic role – not only will you manage projects, but you will also contribute to long-term planning and innovation that supports the mill's business objectives.A typical day will see you:Plan, scope, and manage capital and non-routine maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulations.Lead long-term maintenance and capital planning while identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.Coordinate with contractors and vendors to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.Provide technical support during equipment breakdowns and urgent maintenance situations.Promote safety, risk management, and staff development through mentoring and operational support.To succeed in this role, you will bring a background in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, ideally with experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
Your practical mindset, attention to detail, and innovative approach will support continuous improvement.
