Your role will include supporting our continuing growth and making the difference to both our business and to the New Zealand construction sector.You will be a Project Manager within our New Zealand Real Estate business working on a variety of client and Turner & Townsend projects and initiatives across various sectors.Job ObjectivesContributing to our achievement of Turner & Townsend's global visionEstablishing friendly and professional relationships with clients, colleagues and other parties involved in the projects and programmes we deliverDelivering a full suite of Project Management activities from Project Initiation through to Close OutAdministering a variety of contracts (commonly NZS3910) in accordance with project objectives and policiesDelivering clear and concise reporting to clients to provide visibility on project status, risks and issues, and allow our clients to make timely and informed decisionsPro-actively monitoring and managing risks and issues, with a focus on achieving great outcomes for our clients.Managing and collaborating with client, consultant and contractor teams to manage the achievement of project deliverablesManaging contract change effectively, ensuring that projects remain within governance and adopt best practiceProactively providing sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholdersLeading people and commissions as neededSupporting and driving business development opportunitiesExperiencePrevious experience and a sound and suitable understanding of the following will be a distinct advantage in applying for this role:Project and Programme ManagementContract Management (NZ3910, NEC)Programming / scheduling (Software experience including MS Project, P6)Risk ManagementProcurementCost ManagementReportingStakeholder managementSharing best practiceCommission managementInformation managementIdentifying and driving efficiencies and improvements through the project lifecycleGood knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management and value engineering.Sector ExperienceWhilst we will consider candidates with a range of sector experience, candidates with experience in the following sectors are particularly sought:Commercial developments and office fit outsRetail developments and fit outsEducation (Schools, Universities)HealthResidentialQualificationsIdeally Degree qualified (or equivalent qualification) relating to a technical field: Construction Management or Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Cost Management or relatable trade experience3 – 5+ years project management experience (ideally including client side/consulting experience)Ideally hold or be working towards an appropriate professional body membership or equivalent.Additional InformationTurner & Townsend is a world leading organisation where you will be given the opportunity to further develop your Project Management and business development skills in the delivery of some of the region's most challenging, interesting, and meaningful projects.Upon joining us you will be supported in putting together a professional development plan which will identify your future development goals and put a plan in place to achieve these.
