Your role
The Northland Rail Upgrade (NRU) team has been tasked with the management and delivery of a Programme of works in Northland. Projects within this scope of works are the upgrade of the North Auckland Line (NAL) and future construction of the Marsden Point Link (MPL).
As part of the project delivery team sitting within Capital Projects and Asset Development (CPAD), and reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will ensure a high level of commercial compliance across all requirements, including but not limited to; contract management and cost management, budgets and forecast, project finance accounting and reporting, general business management and programme governance.
Works in the NRU range from rail infrastructure and ancillary disciplines (above and below rail) to civil and construction programmes. Operating at a tactical level, you will maintain tight discipline of time and money, actively looking for innovation and improvement opportunities, all the while keeping a close eye on issues and risks.
Your skills
Bringing previous success supporting the delivery of large and complex infrastructure projects (circa $150m), you have a track record of maintaining a delivery framework that allows Project Managers to drive the commercial elements of their work packages and enables 'best value' outcomes.
As someone who demonstrates solid understanding and application of risk management and scheduling, you will play a key role in keeping the programme on track. Working collaboratively across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, your ability to build strong and effective relationships is one of the things that sets you apart from the crowd.
To be successful in this role, you will have;
Relevant tertiary qualification/s
Successful project controls experience gained on large and complex infrastructure projects
Exceptional commercial acumen
You are resilient nature and someone who is able to influence others to achieve desired outcomes
