With expanding operations, Flow Masters are seeking an experienced Costing Estimator to join the team to take over the quoting aspects within the company.Position Overview:Working closely with the Flow Masters management team you will have a proven track record in accurately estimating Plumbing, Gas fitting and Drain laying projects. Skilled and experienced tradespersons looking to get off the tools without estimating experience will also be considered. For the right candidate, either a contractual agreement or permanent employment agreement can be considered, with part-time or full-time hours to suit.Responsibilities:Analyse plumbing project requirements, including plans, specifications, and customer needs, to prepare accurate cost quotations and estimates.Collaborate with project managers and other team members to gather information for quotations and estimates.Site visits to assess options and solutions and to identify potential challenges.Collaborate with suppliers to get competitive pricing for materials and equipment.Coordinate with subcontractors, to integrate their cost estimates into overall projects.Pro-actively seek out opportunities to provide cost estimates for local projects.Stay up to date with industry trends, market prices, and relevant regulations to ensure accurate quotations and estimations.Assist operations manager in day to day tasks.Order materials for various projectsExperience:Requires:Proven experience as a Job Estimator in the plumbing industry, either in a similar role or as a plumber with estimating responsibilities.Domestic, rural, and commercial plumbing, Gas fitting and drainage experience.Knowledge of national and local plumbing, drainage and gas regulations.Ability to read and interpret building plans, architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications.Mathematical, analytical and basic accounting skills.Excellent organisational and time management abilities with ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Computer literacy including ability to use estimating software programs.Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.Gas fitting experience and knowledge is not essential but is a bonus.BenefitsMake the role your own.
