About the Role:
With a large upcoming workload for 2020, several vacancies have arisen for experienced Project Engineers with proven experience in roading works to join the team on a unique package of works in Auckland. The primary purpose of this position is to supervise technical works & drive performance on sites effectively and efficiently, completing works on time, within budget and to the specification. Working in closely with cost controllers, you will also be responsible for financial management and budget control. In addition this, you will be responsible for ensuring H&S is up to standard, QA, and ensuring the site operates efficiently day-to-day .
Duties:
• Interact with key stakeholders
• Implement stringent H&S standards
• Ensure QA is kept to a high standard
• Accurately relay contract and design specifications, providing quality technical support
• Measure, record, report on progress accurately and on time
• Financial management
• Liaise with Site Engineers
Skills and Experience:
• Relevant tertiary qualified – civil (NZCE, BE, Diploma etc)
• Minimum 5 years experience working on a variety of local projects, with strong understanding of NZ standards and best practice.
• Proven experience working on roading projects
• Strong knowledge of H&S and QA.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong relevant software skills (Word, Excel etc)
