Ready to see what you're capable of? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) Project Engineer to join our team. As an ILS Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the integration, implementation, and support of all logistics activities throughout the lifecycle of our projects. This position is within the Process and Defence industries and the successful applicant requires a strong background in engineering, project management, and logistics support, as well as exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities: Develop and implement integrated logistics support plans and strategies to ensure project success.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, procurement, and customer service, to ensure seamless integration of activities.
Manage and coordinate logistics support activities, including maintenance planning, supply chain management, configuration management, and technical documentation.
Prepare technical documentation, such as maintenance, training support and obsolescence management manuals, troubleshooting guides, and spare parts catalogs.
Provide guidance on failure analysis and support effective maintenance practices including reliability studies and maintenance engineering studies.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to identify and recommend optimal solutions.
Monitor and track project milestones and deliverables to ensure timely completion and adherence to project schedules.
Identify and mitigate risks and develop contingency plans to minimize project disruptions.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams on ILS-related matters.
Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in support.
Prepare and present regular progress reports, status updates, and other project documentation to management and stakeholders.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
Proven experience in project management and logistics support, preferably in a technical or engineering environment.
Strong knowledge of integrated logistics support principles and methodologies.
Experience within the Industrial Refrigeration and Defence industries, with a foundational understanding of relevant practices and processes within each sector.
Familiarity with relevant local industry standards and regulations, such as DEF(AUST)5692 and the ASDEFCON support processes suite of standards. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for certain projects.
