It's an exciting time within KiwiRail as we embark on ambitious growth plans so it sees us bringing on new people to our teams.
Your Role:
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer to be responsible for the planning and on-site delivery of Track and Civil works associated with the CRL, 3rd Main, ARDP (Auckland Rail Development Programme) and other 3rd party projects on the Auckland Metro network.
The Project Engineer for Auckland Metro will also manage the work orders to support delivery for Project KPI's in the ANAA (Auckland Network Access Agreement) and KiwiRail Business plans, provide technical advice to the Project Track Gang and carry out post work inspections and site audits to ensure the asset condition meets both design and code requirements and that the Maximo system contact correct, complete and up to date information.
Your Skills
Be Tertiary qualified in Civil Engineering (B Eng, NZCE)
Solid project management and leadership experience in the Rail industry (5 yrs minimum) is essential
Consolidated experience in job planning and estimating
Proven ability to deal with high-pressure critical situations to achieve best practice outcomes for works
Strong engagement skills to build relationships with key stakeholders
A commitment to Zero Harm with a continuous improvement mind-set
Competent use of Maximo and the Microsoft Suite (Project, Excel and Word) for works management
