Project Director Telecommunications ConstructionUniversal Communications Group Pty Ltd (UCG) is a leading supplier of telecommunications network design, construction, operations and project management services. UCG works closely with network operators to optimise the performance of their existing and planned infrastructure and to ensure that deployments are delivered fit for purpose and future proofed.Ko ta matou mahi - About the roleAs Project Director for our projects throughout the Pacific Islands, funded by the World Bank, you will have responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership of the programme of works where the overarching goal is to ensure all projects are completed safely on time within budget. We are proud to be helping the World Bank and the governments of the various islands bring life changing telecommunications and other infrastructure to their populations. Based in Auckland, and reporting to UCG's COO, you will enjoy the support of several Programme and Project Managers who have successfully commenced a number of projects within this growing portfolio.Ko to mahi – What you will doOversee the delivery of telecommunications infrastructure projects throughout the Pacific IslandsEnsure all projects are professionally managed and internal and external governance in placeEnsure projects are completed on time on budget and client SLAs metGrow and maintain productive relationships with World Bank, Pacific Island government and Delivery Partner representativesLead UCG's skilled team consisting of a Programme Manager, Project Manager, Construction Managers and Technical Design SMEsBusiness development, win new projects off the back of successful project delivery and relationshipsTravel to project or client sites as required however work at UCG's Auckland office the vast majority of time.Na tou rourou - What you will bringIn order to be successful as the Project Director Pacific Projects, you will apply your multifaceted expertise in directing and delivering infrastructure projects so all stakeholder expectations are met or exceeded, where UCG's internal team is motivated and guided by your clear and strong leadership. You can refer to previous experiences where you've successfully delivered a programme of infrastructure projects where you had primary responsibility for managing client and Delivery Partner relationships. Previous experience in managing government relationships and multiple concurrent project sites with the support of an employee and subcontractor or Delivery Partner workforce is essential.You are an accomplished project director with accreditations in project management, where your highly organised and disciplined approach to managing projects translates to high achieving internal and Delivery Partner workforces, and the provision of reliable internal and external reporting.
