Spanning across 23 different sites, CM Health is rapidly expanding to keep up with the demand of our services. We are seeking a high calibre professional with an Engineering/Design/Architectural background to join the CM Health team as Project Director to provide leadership and direction in project governance for major projects that are a part of our master plan. This is a senior role that will provide expert leadership from Business Case and concept design to execution and delivery. We are looking for an outstanding industry leader.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced capital works manager to provide leadership to a programme of works comprising of multiple project teams, including varieties of consultants, master planning and clients. Successful implementation of this programme of work will enable delivery of a transformational model of care for our patients, and ensure we can offer progressive health care options to our rapidly increasing population in South Auckland.
Reporting to the General Manager, Facilities, Engineering and Asset Management, this role will be responsible for project governance including planning, design documentation, project management, contract management, budget control and dealing with all day to day issues from concept to completion and post implementation review. This role is crucial in ensuring that our strategic health goals are translated into practical facilities through effective and efficient project planning and management. You will have leadership skills, strong budgetary management skills, the ability to build relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, and to deliver quality solutions within tight timeframes.
To be suitable for this role you will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering/architectural field with a minimum of ten years' experience in project planning, design coordination, government tendering processes, construction and project management. Demonstrated experience in effective financial management with multi-stranded budgets from a range of income sources, project management and operational and capacity planning are key. You will also need to be able to illustrate your experience developing a culture of excellence, performance, accountability and customer-centric service. A strong track record of managing complexity and risk whilst maintaining high standards of service delivery is essential.

The salary band for this role is between $152,450.00 to $176,490.00, dependent on skills and experiences.
