Work in a collaborative and fast paced environmentBe part of a project with significant impact on the correctional systemFixed term/secondment opportunity until 31 July 2026 based in WellingtonNga kawenga | About the roleThe Christchurch Men's Prison (CMP) Redevelopment Programme is a multi-year phased infrastructure programme that will have a significant impact on the correctional system.
The Programme will deliver new high security accommodation and supporting amenities for both staff and prisoners, significantly improving living and working conditions for prisoners and staff and enable CMP to support the Department's strategy and successful rehabilitation and reintegration.We are looking for a Project Coordinator for providing high quality project coordination, expertise, and administration support for the Senior Project Manager through the first phase of the CMP Redevelopment Programme PPP procurement.
You'll assist with workplans and schedules, and coordinate and maintain workstream plans, support the management of all aspects of the procurement process.
Additionally, you'll collate reporting and provide general day-to-day project management administration and operations as directed.To be successful in this role you will bring:Experience in project coordination coupled with a comprehensive knowledge of administrative systems, processes, and functions.Excellent written communication skills, delivering communications in Plain English which are clear, concise, and logical, as well as strong oral communication and influencing skills.Strong prioritisation skills and demonstrated conceptual, analytical, and problem solving ability.
Close attention to detail.Ability to establish and maintain practical systems to manage own workload and information.Proven ability to maintain effective relationships.An advanced level of computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite, database and reporting applications (or similar), and the ability to learn other packages if required.The midpoint of the salary range is $87,132 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $74,063 - $104,559 per annum.
