KiwiRail has committed to modernise its Interislander Cook Strait ferry service with the procurement of two new rail enabled ships that will provide a fit-for-purpose Cook Strait service. The Inter-Island Resilient Connection (iReX) Project will transform Cook Strait assets and operations to provide Great Journeys and secure freight connections for a Better New Zealand.
Your Role:
KiwiRail is seeking a first-rate Project Accountant to support the delivery of this exciting programme of works.
As part of the project delivery team, you will work proactively across multiple business units and with multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment, and ultimately achieve successful outcomes. Working hand-in-hand with the Project Manager/s, you will have an in-depth knowledge of the projects' activities, ensuring financial forecasts and costs are aligned and on track.
Your Skills:
You will hold a CA or equivalent qualification with significant post-graduate experience, ideally with infrastructure or construction projects. You will have proficiency in Excel and SAP (or similar ERP tool) and proven ability seeing the full picture of a project. Building strong relationships within your team and the wider business, including senior leaders is something that comes naturally to you and forms an integral part of ability to achieve results.
