The opportunity
Sydney Trains have a dynamic opportunity for a Program Manager to join the senior leadership team with Future Network Delivery.
Leading a team of 3 direct reports, you will manage projects within the Operational Capacity Program (OCP), and coordinate activities of other interdependent projects to achieve business, operational and customer objectives, to planned schedule, budget and scope. Your collaborative approach will ensure appropriate engagement and management of key business stakeholders at all level across Sydney Trains.
Reporting directly to the Associate Director, Operational Capacity Program, you will have the autonomy you deserve, along with support and mentorship whilst working collaboratively with your peers and internal and external stakeholders.
You will be driven by data and responsible for the ongoing analysis and identification of the initiatives for the relevant work stream under the Operational Capacity Program.
Your strong communication teamed with your experience in delivering projects on time and on budget within Rail, Transport or Infrastructure sectors will set you up for success in the role.
About you
As our ideal candidate you will have:
Experience in leading and mentoring a high performing team
Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Business or Project Management)
Significant demonstrated experience and ability in delivering projects on time and on budget within Rail, Transport or Infrastructure sectors
High conceptual, research, planning, analytical and problem solving skills with experience in the application of mathematical and statistical analysis and the capacity to develop solutions for a range of complex issues
A pragmatic and collaborative approach to decision making
Effective communication skills and a natural and demonstrated ability to build strong relationships at all levels.

Future Network Delivery Directorate
Future Network Delivery (FND) is working to deliver extra services and better infrastructure to accommodate future demand across the Sydney Trains network.
This includes parts of the NSW Governments $1.5 billionMore Trains More Services program, new timetables, more than 20 infrastructure upgrades and enabling projects needed to successfully run more train services, the full integration of the Sydney Metro projects into our network and the delivery of the Rail Operations Centre (ROC).
FND provides a single focus on delivery and is collaborating with other Directorates to ensure we are operationally ready to safely run more trains on time for more customers to meet this increased demand.
