Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this role is ‘hands on’ and an integral part of the business. It’s all about people leadership and managing change and continuous improvement. Your experience in transforming behaviour by driving positive change will be highly regarded, as will exposure to a fast paced, high volume production/manufacturing environment (Packaging or FMCG). Ultimately we are looking for someone who is dynamic and thrives on the challenge of improving staff performance, whilst challenging the status quo to improve overall production and quality.
Ideal attributes and skills:
A passion for health and safety
Previous leadership/supervisory experience within a fast paced manufacturing/production environment is a must
Ability to transform team results through coaching/mentoring
Focus on continuous improvement through 5S, Lean and Six Sigma programmes
NZCE/Trade qualification desirable
Energetic Proactive Go-Getter with proven problem solving skills
Passionate about quality and productivity
Customer focussed and goal orientated
Mechanically minded
