Production Supervisor

Steel Fabrication We are working with a leading structural steel business who specialise in fabricating and erecting steel structures in vertical construction across a number of industries including commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects.
This company is recruiting for a Production Supervisor to work alongside the Workshop Manager in a 2 IC capacity and the successful candidate with ultimately be responsible for the fabrication and manufacturing process on a technical level.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for supervising, training and advising mangers on staffing issues and acting as a central point of information and communication between the management group and workshop.
The successful candidate will be a leader in terms of H&S and will be a member of the senior H&S committee; You will be responsible for promoting health and safety policies amongst staff and conducting initial investigations for serious harm accidents before passing them on to relevant management.
Qualifications / Experience Required;Steel Fabrication experience is a \'must have\' requirement
Ability to read and understand technical drawings (engineering & isometric)to determine how to
Technically astute, able to breakdown production and manufacturing into sequences and timelines
Previous experience in a supervisory / man management role (machine shop, steel, heavy construction)
Must have knowledge of other industry or engineering testing standards such as AS/NZS 1554.1, AS/NZS 5131 and ISO 9606
