Our Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated Production Planner to join our team at Meadow Fresh located in Christchurch. The Production Planner is an integral member of the Operations team and this role makes a strong contribution by developing short and long term production plans that best utilize available assets. The role is positioned within a highly dynamic and fast paced environment, the ability to quickly analyze planning scenarios to make decisions and communicate to stakeholders is critical factor for delivering our customer delivery and growth goals.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

Set daily, weekly and annual production plans for the plant considering operational/processing capacity, materials supply, labour availability and warehouse capacity.
Assisting in monthly Supply Reviews for both production plants (UHT and fresh milk) which feed directly into S&OP process.
Actively partner with key cross-functional stakeholders both onsite and offsite to ensure constraints and risks are clearly communicated and mitigated in a timely manner
Control of all semi-finished and finished good stock levels to ensure we have minimal impact from out of stocks or dated stock.
Support the continuous improvement philosophy by analyzing the planning tools and suggesting changes that simplify or streamline the production planning process
Identifying issues with production variances to assist in getting all COGs and BOMs correctly aligned.
Accountable for ensuring DIFOT, wastage and plan attainment measures are achieved or exceeded.
Completing analytics and reporting for communication back to site leadership and wider group of stakeholders

About You

To be successful in your application, you will have:

3-5 years of planning experience in a manufacturing environment
Advanced Microsoft Excel capability
MRP & PPDS technical experience – Ideally within SAP ECC/APO/IBP or similar
FMCG, dairy and/or relevant food manufacturing industry experience preferred
Strong communication skills across functions, organisational levels and with external stakeholders
Have a growth mindset with an end-to-end focus and willingness to challenge the status quo
